Its hard for us to understand why Teachers have to supply their own books and some even supplies! In most every other profession, supplies are provided. Reading to children is very important! And let me tell you , most of us can remember our favorite books, am I right!!

That is why as long as we can get donations, Teachers and Home School Parents will be allowed to come in shop for 20 FREE Books a Month!

Hartley House

is proud to announce that we have become a Lions Branch Club of Lincoln Bethany (MD38) Lions Club! So, What does this mean? It means that we can provide a better in helping with literacy and finding local projects that needs a helping hand! We will continue to collect donated books (no mold or smell) and unused eyeglasses.

Our mission is to rescue books from the landfill, rehome them to people who need to and want feel the pages! There are not too many donations we cant take, unless books are tore up, moldy or smelly. From childrens books to adult books! Even encyclopedias!
